Jungle Lagoon Safari Lodge is situated 90 miles south west of Kathmandu and just a river cross away from the world famous Chitwan National Park. The Chitwan National Park which was established in 1973 and is famous as one of Asia's richest and most spectacular wildlife sanctuaries. It is also a world heritage site that covers an area over 932 sq. km and shelters the endangered species like: wild elephant, Gharial Crocodiles, Royal Bengal Tiger, One Horned Rhinoceros, Gaur, Striped Hyena park also homes to leopard sloth Bear, wild boar, 4 different types of deer, two different types of Monkeys and many other small animals. There are over 450 species of birds founded in the park.
Jungle Lagoon Safari Lodge was established in 1990 and one among the oldest resort in Chitwan. Accommodation at Jungle Lagoon is in individual cottages with open veranda. All the rooms are well furnished with attached Bathrooms running hot & cold water. Dining hall & Bar is centrally located. Restaurant offers Nepalese, Chinese, Indian and Continental cuisine prepared by our trained cooks well stocked bar facilities are also available to our guest.
Jungle Lagoon is located at the bank of Rapti river which forms the northern boundary of famous Chitwan National Park. It is near by the small village within peaceful environment. Verities of plants and fruits are growing inside the large garden of the lodge. Sweeping views of lush green forests to the south and snow-capped mountains to the north can be enjoyed from the rooftop.
